Cast Of Characters 2007

Monday, June. 2, 2007 - 11:12 p.m.

Here's my Cast of Characters page, updated for the year 2007.

Picture of BrinHere's me, in the spring of 2005. I was on vacation when this was taken. I live in San Francisco with my husband John and a metric assload of stuffed animals. Mostly bunny rabbits, but the occasional teddy bear does sneak in. I've been on Diaryland since the spring of 2003, I've made wonderful friends as a result, and as of this writing, one of my favorite bands is Keane.

Hopes And FearsThis is Hopes and Fears, the first album by Keane. I run the Keane diaryring here on Diaryland, and I am a collector of Keane memorabilia. I've seen this group in concert numerous times, and my most recent piece of Keane schwag is Hopes And Fears on vinyl.

Jamie LordHere's Jamie Lord. I met him in the summer of 2002, on the alt.music.erasure newsgroup. I can't even find the words for how I feel about Jamie. He's the best friend I've ever had that I've yet to meet in person. If he hadn't entered my life when he did, I don't know if I would still be on this side of the dirt. Jamie, Olive Juice.:)

Cheri H3ys3 Cher1 H3ys3 introduced herself to me after reading my diary. We hit it off, and she came out to visit me in the spring of 2004. She's one of the hardiest souls I think I've ever met, and I am honored to have her friendship. She has a wonderful sense of humor, she speaks German, and rumor has it that her favorite band is Depeche Mode.

JJ BarnesHere's JJ Barnes, aka Onewetleg. She lives in the same city as me. JJ and I sometimes go out and foist ourselves on the unsuspecting populace of San Francisco. And as you can see, she's also on Diaryland.

Dave MarronThis is Dave Marron, a.k.a. Old Buddy Dave. I first met him in 1987, when we were both in comics fandom. Dave is one of these rare people who can pick up the threads of a conversation that is years old. It's nice to be in touch with him again.

Br1@n Cl@yt0nThis is Br1@n Cl@yt0n. When I was being grifted by the online predator I call the Erasure Impostor, Brian would come visit and drag me out into the sunshine or else. He's only just moved away from San Francisco, which means there's one less dastardly co-conspirator in my circle. Sigh.

Andrew Ivan Clarke BellSpeaking of the Erasure Impostor, here he is. He goes by the name of Andrew Ivan Clarke Bell, and he has no discernable connection to the real Erasure whatsoever, despite his numerous claims to the contrary. He lives in rural Illinois with his mommy and a bunch of cats. If you want to read about what he did to me, go here. If you want to see a bigger picture of him, go here, where you'll see him doing volunteer work at his local community college. (No, that picture was not taken by me. It was taken by another one of his victims before she realized he was lying to her.)

Bob LaiThis is Bob Lai, who is one of my frequent contributors.

I met Bob while he and I were both working on BayCon, and I was his wife Jo's honor attendant when they got married.

Bob's writing can be found right here on Diaryland, at The Ministry Of Shadows.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you write about your husband in the cast page?

Because he's a very private person, and he has asked me not to write about him. Nothing earth-shattering -- I'm just respecting his wishes. If he has something to say, he posts a comment. :)

Interesting cast of characters there, Brinners! I always knew that you were such a talented person, but I never realized just how much until I read your diary. You really should think about writing your own book because you make everything so interesting. I love you, Buttercup!

Like him or loathe him -- you were right to add him. People probably wanted to see who the heck you were referring to. :) Olive juice. :) My Cast of Characters page is up now too. xoxox ~Jamie~
