Disney Winter Magic Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 - 10:56 a.m. Last night, OBDave and I stopped by Disneyland, because I had heard that the winter decorations were really something to see. I'd heard correctly. Here's Main Street, looking back toward the park entrance, from the castle pathway: And here is the castle, in its winter finery: There was something interesting at the end of the fireworks display; Dave and I were preparing to make a mad dash over to Tomorrowland to do the rides we usually do over in that quadrant; we'd secured our belongings and agreed to a fast walk, beginning with right foot first so we wouldn't get squished by the exiting crowds. But then something literally stopped us in our tracks. At the end of the winter fireworks display -- it snowed. Disneyland had artificial snow generators up on their show floods, and we hadn't even noticed until then. It wasn't skiing snow made of water, but it was the bubble-stuff they use in the movies. Simply stunning. --- It was a cold night, so our visit was a little abbreviated. --- This morning, after I heard OBDave's alarm go off, I came into the bedroom to retrieve my computer, and heard his feet sneeze. It turns out that Solange enjoys burrowing. When Dave got up and over to his computer desk, I went and slithered the comforter mostly off the bed and this is what I found: It's the rare and beautiful Sleeping Siamese Tail tip! --- There ya go; try and have a good Monday. ---
