Ultraman & Friday Five

Saturday, May. 17, 2008 - 2:15 a.m.

My Moth Policy took something of a dump last night.

A member of the aforementioned species approximately the size and weight of a koala bear nose dived onto my chest while I was sitting here critiquing a resume and cover letter for a friend of mine.

Well, okay, it wasn't quite that big, but when you're a little sleepy and trying to concentrate on what you're working on, many things happen to human perception.

It's been many years since I opted out of a catch and release; I'd forgotten how much down the poor little things give off.

---

I was just watching Classic Arts Showcase, and saw an excerpt from the short film The Red Balloon.

This was one of the films that was available to watch in school when I was young, and I enjoyed it every time I'd seen it.

Just out of curiosity, I went to see if it's on DVD, and yes, it is.

Of *course* I got one.

---

Pardon me for telling you some old news, but I just heard about it myself.

Ivana Trump has balls. Do you guys know where she got re-married last month?

She came to Donald Trump and asked if she could hold the ceremony at Mar-A-Lago ... and he said yes.

Friday Five:

What's your favorite TV network?

I gravitate mostly toward TVLand these days.

If you could create your own channel, what would it be?

The Black And White Channel. I'd show only black and white television shows, black and white cartoons and vintage ads, and I'd have a horror movie host on Saturday nights.

What TV show did you watch as a child, that you wish they would bring back?

That's what I'm doing over on TVLand. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Ultraman restored and re-run again.

What show have you always hated, and wonder why they ever made such a dumb show?

Any romance reality show.

What TV show's seasons would you buy on DVD?

Definitely Ultraman, and I already own my fave, Dick Van Dyke, thanks to John.

Link to the left, etc.

That's it. Have a good Saturday.

me thinks that in this politically correct age, if you launched the black and white channel, the nutzoids like our common enemy, the "rev" al sharpton, would pitch a HUGE bitch as he would, over the name of the network! i would call it the retro network, thataway, it dont "offend" anyone!! hava happy saturday!!
