Woods, Weddings & Woof

Tuesday, Jun. 17, 2008 - 12:01 a.m.

Tiger Woods barely slipped by 45-year-old Rocco Mediate to take the US Open Monday.

It was a spectacular match, and even though Roc came in second, he benefitted greatly from this event, as his ranking moved up a little bit.

He went from 158th in the world, to 47th.

This weekend of golf was the best I've seen since Tiger's first Masters.

The various wedding registrar's offices were jammed with customers and media yesterday afternoon here.

It was a fantastic day in this state.

---

Was chatting with Bob Lai on Monday night and he mentioned that Al Gore has endorsed Barack Obama, and that this endorsment didn't exactly strike him as impressive.

Al Gore had also been blathering earlier in the day about the poisonous paint, false medications, and deadly pet food that had been allowed into the USA from China during the Shrub administration, and then basically went on to say that even the cats and dogs of this counrty knew they'd be safer with a Democrat in office.

His constituents used to be the atmosphere and the clouds and rocks and trees; now he's moved up to cats and dogs.

---

That's it. Have a good Tuesday.

It's not like the Clinton era was this shining, glorious thing, but far too many liberals/Democrats seem to want to staple the Clintons to the Obama campaign, as if his success will diminish their 'legacy'.
