Beltane 2009

Friday, May. 01, 2009 - 1:47 a.m.

Blessed be and happy Beltane for those who observe it.

Tonight on TLC, there is going to be a Wiccan faerie wedding featured on the program Say Yes To The Dress.

If I remember, I'll tune in!

Cat Stuff: Okay -- In this earlier post here, I mentioned some numbers to you, and at the time, they were correct.

The first of several expected followup bills has since arrived and is listed below.

However, the donations have also come in at a really wonderful pace, so the new bill is considerably offset by the amount that's come in.

$2614.32 previous vet bill mentioned in the above post.
$+298.25 Followup bill dated April 24
------
$2912.57
-1380 (300 good sam discount from vet, plus the new total of 1080 in donations, thanks!)
------
$1532.57 Updated total remaining on Cat Repair Bill

Now I know that when this whole thing began a half a month ago, the Cat Repair Bill estimate was only $2200.00.

This was a legitimate and inadvertent underestimation on our end of things -- so here's the deal.

Out of fairness for you, the donors / readership, I believe this should remain the final donation goal. If you, the readers of Dave's and my diaries, donate $2200.00 toward the Cat Repair Bill -- well, hey, *I'm* sure not going to have a problem with that! :-)

What say you, readers? Sound fair to you? It's going to be more than we thought it would be, but we'd sure like to see at least $2200.00 of donations to offset a bill that's probably going to be closer to three thousand by the time Laila Ali Cat is given the all-clear.

Let me know if this works for you.

In other kitteh news, Omaha Dave sent me a picture of their outside cat, Peepers, and her five new babies.

Congratulations! They all look very weensy and sweet.

---

That's it! Have a good Friday.
