Bubbles & Blanket Saturday, Jun. 27, 2009 - 12:43 a.m. So yeah, I've decided to roll over and spread my legs and just enjoy the media deluge, for one reason and one reason alone -- The deaths of Farrah Fawcett and of Michael Jackson have wiped Jon & Kate off the map. This is the sort of thing that entices me to believe in a Maker of all things, you know? --- But here comes the flipside... As we were all kind of predicting would happen, most likely in the case of Jacko -- here come the crazies. A German sculptor claims he has the rights to MJ's remains because he was allowed to preserve the remains of Bubbles and he said there had been an agreement that Bubbles and his master would be reunited in death. Or something. Now there's a story about an accountant who claims to be the legal guardian of Blanket. If you thought the tabloids were nasty while Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson were alive? Comparatively speaking, I am sad to predict that you ain't seen nothin' yet. --- Today is the day I'm going to spend packing for my trip to Anaheim. Then I'm going to be practicing in Vacaville on Sunday. Then I fly out of Oakland on Monday morning. So I will be intermittently around for the next few days. I should be making my regular rounds by late Monday afternoon if all has gone well. The last group of people to get my takeoff and landing pings will get them again on Monday, so stay tuned. --- That's it. Have a good Saturday. ---
