July 4th 2009 Saturday, Jul. 04, 2009 - 9:11 a.m. Today is the 233rd birthday of the United States of America. I was supposed to be at Disneyland tonight with Old Buddy Dave, but incredibly, he went back to work as part of the The Bob Chance Band, at The Place Formerly Known As Cero's Which Is Now Called "The Other Place". So, tonight, I'll be doing what I've done on so many other weekend evenings in Anaheim -- I'll be watching my Old Buddy play drums. Because Dave is working again at a job he really loves, I can think of few other things I'd rather be doing tonight. --- Something else happened to me on this day in 1979. I was fourteen, which should be enough of a hint. --- Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, if you are in the USA, take a minute and think about what you have. That's it. Have a wonderful Saturday and a glorious Fourth. ---
