Pink Flowers Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 - 2:05 a.m. Yesterday, John took the day off. After coming home from the chiropractor, we spent the afternoon together. It was warm and oogie because of the typhoon dregs, but outside was better than inside. John even gave me flowers. I love pink flowers of all kinds, and this bouquet of carnations has lots of buds, so I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom through the rest of the week. Thank you honey! --- Ever since my mini-stroke in 2006, lost things are slowly becoming found again. I was speaking with a friend I've known for eighteen years, and I suddenly made one of those lost and found connections -- and said "Hey, wait a minute, I think something just came back! Is your middle name [Name]?!" And he said "Yes!" So while the process has been arduous, and remains largely incomplete -- I am still missing most of my lyrics from thirty years of songs that I've written -- there are still occasional victories that give me a sense of hope and accomplishment. I didn't remember the middle name as of the previous Friday. --- Not a long post today. Have a good Thursday! ---
