What puzzles me about 'Har A Jaukqa' is that children learn the lyrics in French or English (or, at least, they used to) as well as the tune. Very strange. --- John - 2008-05-14 18:06:32
Guess this guy went to a school where "Frere Jacque" wasn't sung, in English OR French. It points out a big hole in our cultural continuity, but then I understand the main reason "Barny" the dinosaur was popular was because the show was the only place where the old British-based nursery rhymes were still being taught to kids. ---
