Since I am supposed to be on a low salt diet, I don't add salt to anything, and I really don't miss it.. well... with one exception, freshly popped popcorn.

I'm so glad things are feeling a bit better. So sad about Harvey Korman. He was amazing.

I like a tad bit of soy sauce on my white rice, but I was raised to put butter, sugar, and cinnamon on white rice. My mom insists it's a Dutch thing; I don't know. I haven't done it in so very long. About the only thing I put salt on are potatoes and corn. Everything else gets herb seasoning. I have to say I am craving more salt now that I'm pregnant, though... but I'm trying to stay away because my feet tend to swell. I'm glad you're getting better!! Hopefully you'll be right as rain very soon.

I have a friend with fried taste buds. He can not taste the difference between ketchup and mayo, among other things.

If your peanut butter cups have the texture of tea candles, we have to find you a fresher batch. And I won't even start on why at some point you've been chewing on tea candles in the first place. As long as you're on the mend, that's all that matters. Cheer up!

I'm so glad you're on your way back to taste. I always wonder what would be worst to lose - sight or sound - but you've reminded me - my world revolves around taste.

This all reminds me of something that happened to me years ago. I was buying soda, and I kept going back to the store asking why their soda had no 'fizz' in it. For some reason, I had an interaction to an antidepressant that rendered my tongue (and entire mouth) unable to sense fizziness in soda. It was the strangest thing. Hope you get them ol' salty buds back soon!! xoxo - Jamie
