ok, long comment from me ~ 1st up at bat, that rat bastid, and former pal, bernie ward. i hope the judge lets him have it and give him the maximum. i read the police reports and he is one sick bastard. where is his wife in all this shit? why havent we heard anything from her? and his poor kids. i hope they get the help they need, and i hope that this exposure dont fuck em up too bad, and that they get to realise that society is not like what has done to them in that house. baseball ~ having "instant replay" for home runs and foul balls or for ANYTHING in baseball is just wrong. and why initiate it now? the season is almost over. if they insist on ruining the game like this, start it at spring training, not when the season is almost over! sheesh! even though i am a Kennedy Democrat, i am of the consensus that the Democratic Party is in turmoil, and we need a STRONG EXPERIENCED LEADER to lead the nation and the party. and this obama is not the one. in 16 years maybe, but not today. too soon, too fast. i STILL say that he has a rats ass chance in hell of getting elected. i certainly will not vote for him. i will for this election, defect across party lines and vote for Senator McCain, whom i believe has a true vision of america, and will be able to return the earned respect america has lost these past 8 years, and make our nation stronger again. well, i'll shaddup now, sweety!!

Honestly, it was a difficult choice for me, too, Art, but I'm going to go ahead and vote for Obama this time around because I'm worried about the makeup of the Supreme Court. I used to be a doctor's daughter-in-law, and unfortunately, once in awhile, my beloved now-deceased 'Doctor Mom' would have to come home from work after having treated some stupid woman who tried to save a buck and give herself an abortion with a gerrymandered fishtank siphon or worse, a coat hanger. Doc Mom told me that this was one of the most stupidly tragic injuries that she had been forced to deal with in the emergency room before Roe Vs Wade passed, and while I am fairly certain it will still be a state-by-state decision as to whether to remain pro-choice, at least for the forseeable future, I will be concerned that any other candidate besides Obama would be more likely to place conservative candidates on the Supreme Court should the need arise. Besides, I think making a choice for a President before one knows who the running mate is might be a risky thing to do. Although I do think that if John McCain is elected after all, he'll provide lots of entertainment on Inauguration Day; it's fucking COLD in Washington DC in January, and he's got pins and metal and god knows what else all throughout his body that isn't gonna feel good that day. It's entirely possible we will have a swearing in or an inauguration speech in which our Commander In Chief drops the F-Bomb!

heheheee!! yeah, well i dont think John McCain will be dropping any F-Bombs, im sure he will be sufficently doped up to withstand the pain. although, i am against abortion, i am for a womans right to choose. its her body, afterall, and the government has no right to tell a woman what to do with her own god given body. as far as the makeup of the Supreme Court is concerned, since the position is for life, i dont think anyone will have to worry about anything for at least the next 4 years. all the honourable justices appear to be in good health. im all for roe v. wade, and the individual states should leave it alone, and by god, abide by it, instead of passing unconstitutional laws telling a woman she cannot have an abortion, again i say it is a womans choice, not the governments.

I remember the coverage of Del's wedding to her longtime partner. Very sad that she has passed, yet how beautiful it is that she got to see the fruit of her labour all those years before moving on, and was able to have the right to publicly declare her love to her partner, and have it recognized!
