Indeed, if those nifty pair your ordered don't pan out, find a cheapo plain pair and snip off those annoying finger covers. Granted, my daughter would love a pair that has skulls on them, so feel free to point me too those annoying non plain gloves. Sigh, I'm raising the generation that makes it hard to find the gloves you do want...

Bicycle shop Ms Ree. Bikers wear them. Mikes 8ikes in San Fran has a large selection, and its in the same city you are! :D (( they have a website but I obeyed the rules!! :D ))
