i basically gave up trraversing around by noon yesterday! thankfully i was able to get in outta the blistering heat!

The real race part of the event isn't that much of an impact on the city. It's 40,000+ other drunken fools in costume that follow that royally gum up the works. Shame the heat wasn't high enough to wipe out more of the latter. :-)
