Whale Rider & Wheezing

Wednesday, Dec. 01, 2004 - 8:44 a.m.

I had a very pleasant movie date with Jamie last night; we watched 'Whale Rider'.

I wasn't sure if he would be able to get into it, as he's got a lot of stuff going on in real life right now, but as it turned out, it was a movie that he enjoyed very much. Hooray! It just sort of sneaks up on you, like 'Local Hero' does.

Been finally watching some of this season of NYPD Blue. The newest Lieutenant of the 15th precinct is a Canadian actor named Currie Graham.

He's playing the role as if he were told to play a crazy man disguised as a normal human being.

I cannot put my finger on it, but there's something very twitchy about the character he's playing.

Sort of like when you hear that really strange noise in your car, but only if you're driving over the speed limit.

WOW, he's good. Currie Graham. Remember that name.

---

Well, there he went. Ken Jennings' run on Jeopardy! came to a halt last night when he was beaten by Nancy Zerg, a real estate broker from California.

Follow the link, and you'll discover more than you thought you ever wanted to know about Ken Jennings.

Tom Ridge is leaving.

Good riddance. After so many empty promises in the face of what happened on September 11, 2001, this man isn't leaving soon enough.

Three years after this day and guess what, the FBI and the CIA still do not have a common database with which to work and keep track of terrorism.

Feh.

Not a long post today, I was up sick with asthma. The meds are kicking my butt. I'm okay, though. :-)
