Only You 2005 Sunday, Jul. 03, 2005 - 10:00 a.m. Today is Vince Clarke's birthday. Dear Vince: Many happy returns, good sir. Thank you for writing "Only You". It was the song that inspired me to go out and purchase my first synthesizer, and if I had not had that ratty little old synth with me through some tough times, I'm not really sure I'd still be on this side of the dirt. So, the next time a fan tells you "Your music saved my life", they might just mean it. --- The Tour De France is underway. The stages are being broadcast live on OLN. Lance Armstrong is trying for a seventh TdF title before he retires this year. He's in the middle of the pack right now, but you just wait until he gets to the mountain stages, because that's where he thrives. --- Lost and found:
The buggy came loose from its trailer and careened off the road, parking itself by the Otaki River bridge. The vehicle towing it didn't stop. Anyone wishing to claim the buggy should call the Otaki police. I've misplaced my house keys before, but somehow, the above story makes me feel a little better. --- Finally, thanks to the surfers who are coming here from the blog listings at KRON.
