Reunion and Flooding Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 - 10:23 a.m. Well. Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb have done some more material together. My life is complete now. --- At least fifty deaths from Katrina. Most in an apartment in Biloxi whose residents did not leave. Excuse me. Are we to understand that the warnings didn't reach those people? Did they not hear how bad this was going to be? --- I was in YM with Jamie at some gawdawful hour, and he was mentioning a stupid local car dealership commercial. That made me think of a fellow here in California named Cal Worthington. His gimmick was to have an unusual animal with him during the spiel. The voiceover would say "Here's Cal Worthington and his dog, Spot!" I Googled him and here is what I found. Wow. Memory Lane for anybody who has lived in California over the last few decades. --- And now, the complete list of words that do not rhyme with Diaryland: Cheese. Dirt. Pie. Spaghetti. ... oh, darn it. I forgot the rest. --- Tonight, a movie date with Jamie. We're going to watch 'Hairspray'. I think it's been explained how these DVD movie dates work: Since all DVD players basically keep time the same way, it's easy to simply have two people choose the same movie, no matter what part of the universe they happen to live in, and sync up while on the telephone. --- Sorry not a long post today -- have a good Tuesday. :-) ---
