Advisory? What's That? Monday, Apr. 03, 2006 - 2:37 a.m. I'm watching Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. It's between two and three in the morning or thereabouts. They just ran a PARENTAL ADVISORY. Hey, Parents, if you are allowing your children to be up at this hour on a school night? No point in trying to advise you about anything, really. --- We went over to Best Buy on Sunday afternoon to snag some 80 minute CDs so I could start burning my GarageBand creations. There was a light rain and a few traffic lights were malfunctioning between here and there. We were there five minutes and then we left again. Traffic both ways was an adventure. When it's raining, the CHP keeps telling drivers to slow down. But wow. Nobody listens. It's dark and raining outside. Slow the fuck down. It's dark and raining outside and there's flooded gutters all over the place. Slow the fuck down. It's dark and rainy, there's urban floods and intermittent power outages. Slow the fuck down. But no. Oh wait, I forgot, there's ONE group of people who DO slow down in the rain! It's the people driving SUVs!!! My goodness, they don't wanna get their vehicles MUDDY or anything. Don't spill your LATTE! Be careful, don't BREAK A NAIL! So, yeah. That was the only general group of drivers that was unafraid to hit the brakes whenever they thought they might hit a puddle. Or whenever the spirit moved them. --- All right, that's it. It' s Monday. Have a Monday. Did you remember to change your clocks? And your smoke alarm battery? Good. ---
