Target & Friday Five

Friday, Apr. 28, 2006 - 8:29 a.m.

Wednesday night, the little over the ear headset I have been using with my cell phone gave up the ghost, after almost five years.

Thursday night, John and I went on a sojourn to find a replacement.

We found an exact replacement at Target, so we purchased two.

The guy who was working in the express lane looked like he was in his early twenties, and he had a round face and big blue eyes and a hairstyle that made him the spitting image of Bud Cort, as he appeared in "Harold And Maude".

As he worked, we glimpsed his left arm, which was the one nearest to us, and saw the bottom half of what promised to be a very interesting tattoo. Legs and a microphone stand.

I went ahead and asked "Hey, could I please see the rest of your ink on that arm?" and he grinned and stopped a moment and lifted his sleeve to reveal a memorial portrait of Joey Ramone.

Very nice kid. Target at Serramonte. Thursday night. Kind of lanky. According to his name tag, is likely to answer to 'George'.

Haven't done one of these in awhile, so here goes. Friday Five for April 28th, 2006

Who was your first kiss (your mom does not count)?

Pre-hormonal: Danny Guerra in kindergarten. Hormonal: Benjie Herrick.

What is your idea of the perfect date

I'm a sucker for anything that, at some point, involves driving somewhere with music on the car radio and some nice scenery out the window.

What music needs to be on when you are getting your thang on?

Nothing NEEDS to be on. If we're talking preferences here, then 'Hats' by The Blue Nile pretty much makes a maybe into a sure thing. Also, I get really turned on by 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane and 'Wicked Game' by Chris Isaak.

What is the most amazing experience youve ever shared with a partner?

I'm in trouble if I say 'too many to count' and I'm in trouble if I say 'nothing stands out' so I'll say 'decline to state'. But trust me, it was good!

Sex is best saved for: love, marriage, alcohol, days that end in y?

Anybody can have sex. Making love is completely different, and can happen with or without sex.

All right. There ya go. Have a nice weekend!
