Halfway Friday, Aug. 04, 2006 - 6:59 a.m. I am back in San Francisco. It's about thirty to forty degrees cooler here than it was in Anaheim, depending on where in the city you place the weather station. I had to wrap up with a blanket last night while sitting in the recliner, and overnight, I had to put a comforter on the bed. --- Dave and I had a lovely drive halfway up the state; he even let me play 'Angel With A Lariat' on the car's CD player. I have listened to some or all of 'AWAL' whenever I travel for about seventeen years give or take. Dave claimed to enjoy the CD, too, so that's nice. John got to Paso Robles about thirty minutes after we did; he looked fairly well for feeding himself for a week. We piled into Denny's and ate, and then transfered me over to John's car, and said our farewells. Dave had an adventure on his way home, which he posted about, but we each got back home shortly after eight pm, and our texts to each other overlapped. I still don't have pictures from the trip ready to upload, but that should be happening sometime in the next few days. The unpacking process is underway; my dirty clothing doesn't have thumbs, so it can't get out of the duffel by itself, and that's something I am grateful for. Nothing else to write about at the moment. Have a good Friday. --- PS -- Devil's Slide reopened a month ahead of schedule last night. ---
