Saturday, Aug. 05, 2006 - 2:03 a.m.

Before we went on the First Official Very Long Drive In The New Car, I decided to see if I could get the inside of the windshield clean so the glare would be gone.

Im fucking possible.

I had no idea what was the matter. All I managed to do with the inside window was move the film around and make it worse.

I did some research and found out that the cause was the car itself, in a process called outgassing. The plastics and the fabric emit chemical vapors which have built up a film on the inside windshield.

So, I'll do a couple more things before I relent and see about purchasing a specialty cleaner, because I hate doing that, and I'll let you know how it goes.

If anybody has any recommendations as to how to tackle the gunk on the inside of a windshield, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

I discovered something nice last night online when I got back.

The local talk show feed from LA is available online, so I didn't have to do without.

Finally, a Friday Five:

How much time do you spend on the Internet daily?

Several hours.

What are your favorite 3 websites?

Diaryland, Wikipedia, and Google News

Do you eat at your computer?

Not like I used to.

Pick one and why - Reading the news online or in a newspaper?

Online. More control of content, less waste, copy and paste is easier than retyping.

How many people are on your instant messenger buddy list?

I don't know. Maybe a dozen or so on Yahoo and two dozen on AIM.

Link to the left.

---

Okay, there you go. Have a nice weekend.
