Cool Sunday, Oct. 01, 2006 - 10:35 a.m. I carried three pieces of luggage with me when I came for this visit; I have so far been forced to modify or abandon two of them due to dilapidation. (both theirs AND mine!...) The trip home should be... interesting. --- The weather down here is actually cool at night; not like July when the night time temperatures would sometimes get down as low as 85 degrees. It's just much milder and nicer right now than it was when the heat bitch-slapped you in the face every time you left air conditioned circumstances. --- I got a chance to sing "Dreams" again last night with the band. The lads have asked me to learn more of the songs they know, but the really terrible migraine I had back in the middle of July did in fact turn out to be a mini-stroke. It's turning out to have been a terrible little termite of a thing -- I can no longer remember most of the phone numbers of the places where I grew up, I can't think of the names of my elementary school teachers, and most annoying of all, I seem to have lost a prodigious amount of my memorized song lyrics from approximately the time I started high school. But I learned "Dreams" when I was twelve. And I seem to be able to retain lyrics once I re-learn them, so I'm lucky. But still. Having a part of your background removed as if it were nothing but a picture on an Etch A Sketch is something I'm still coming to terms with. --- It's already the first of October, which seems impossible on the face of it. Not ready for it yet. --- Can't think of another thing to write. Happy Sunday, and happy October. ---
