Here's the Question Of The Week:

What do you do, that you dont like to do, but you do because theres a payoff? Whats that payoff? If you didnt get that, would you still do whatever it is youre doing? Im talking anything from I know I should quit smoking to I dont punch people in the face to well, I have this crack habit. Tell me what keeps you doing the same thing, this thing that youd rather not be doing.

I continue to avoid most refined white sugar and potatoes and corn and flour for six days a week. (Pancakes from scratch with butter and maple syrup on Saturday! Woo!) I have lost around 50 lbs by being on this modified Atkins intake, and even though it's sometimes annoying to be unable to have some of my favorite foods from the bygone days, the rewards are wonderful. I still eat pretty much whatever I want when I am on vacation, but I lean toward smaller portions. It's a decision I make every day, and I don't get too upset most of the time.

I'm kind of trapped in the living room waiting for something John ordered, which is fine. There's plenty to do in here, believe me. :-)

I learned a lot from the production of my first CD; I'm in the process of developing material for my second one, and things are going well.

I was listening to Virgin Radio on the Internet, and heard the song "Sit Down" by James.

Never looked up the words before, but the last portion of the lyrics really made me feel nice:

Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
Sit down, down down.

Again, another really cool song.

A friend of mine got a late night call from his soon to be ex-wife, who was puportedly calling to 'thank' him for expediting some of their divorce-related paperwork. The fact that she called late while he was multitasking made him probably might have made him a little less kind-sounding than she thought he should have sounded when speaking to her royal self, so, of course, she instantly turned on him and got upset and hung up. Now you know why there was a divorce.

But anyway, if this happens again, friend, I recommend this gadget, recommended to me by Bob Lai last night in IMs.

Okay. Have a good Tuesday.
