Three Hundred Million Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 - 12:00 a.m. First, happy birthday yesterday to Ronn Owens. My favorite talk show host has turned sixty-one. He didn't pay me enough to not mention his age. --- Our country now officially has three hundred million residents in it. The computer models came to the conclusion that at 4:46 on the morning of October 17, somewhere in southern California, the three hundred millionth person would arrive. There's still a debate as to whether person no. 300,000,000 was pushed out of a womb or had climbed over a fence. :-) --- Here's a recent Unconscious Mutterings... Weeks :: Pay --- I was sad to hear of the passing of Christopher Glenn, who was the guy on CBS who did 'In The News'. This was the series of two-minute Saturday morning newscasts developed so a child could understand world events. He was right up there with Fred Rogers for me, and he was one of the principal reasons I really learned the importance of paying attention to the news. Good night, Christopher. May you sleep in peace and wake in wonderment. --- Yay, Project Runway season finale tonight. Michael is the darling and will probably win this, but I am REALLY pulling for Jeffrey. --- All right, that's it. Have a good Wednesday. ---
