Lend An Ear Monday, Oct. 30, 2006 - 11:03 a.m. When I woke up this morning, it was to the sound of garbage trucks (YAY the strike is over down here, or teh scabs are hard at work), but the sound was only in one ear. I sleep with headphones on. John snored really terribly when he was larger, and before that I lived with Kevin Standlee, whose snoring had the range and crescendo of a symphony orchestra. After Kevin left me, I never got out of the habit of sleeping with them on. I do find it comes in handy when I'm sleeping away from home, though. One speaker of my most recent pair of sleep headphones has gone to the Great Woofer In The Sky. So I think today, Old Buddy Dave and I will be heading out to find something suitable for me to replace them with. --- Last night, Dave took me to meet the gang involved in the Orange County Gamers. What a great bunch of people! I was standoffish, but I always am in a completely new group -- but the next time my visit coincides with one of their meetups, I'm SO there. OBDave taught me how to play GIPF, and then trounced me soundly and fairly. --- Still posting from Dave's computer. --- Tomorrow should be interesting. Bob Chance wants me to be the Female Voice for some work he is doing, so I get to go and be in a Real Life Recording Studio for the very first time. --- I think that's it. Survive your Monday! ---
