Night Flight Thursday, Dec. 07, 2006 - 10:31 a.m. Tonight, I return to San Francisco on a night flight. I absolutely love flying at night, and I've not had many opportunities to do so. I intend to snag a window seat and take pictures as soon as it's safe to do so. Even though Scott Hysmith lightheartedly mooed at me when I mentioned the airline that I'm on, I have to say that I don't mind the policy of Southwest Airlines at all. It's one of the last vestiges of legitimate Darwinism left in modern society. If you reserve soon enough and have enough moxie to arrange having your ticket printed out online, get there with plenty of time to spare, and go make a place for yourself in line, then you will pretty much end up walking into a relatively empty plane and be able to choose your seat. --- I've had a good visit. Dave has been an extraordinary host, and everybody has been wonderful. It's supposed to rain here tomorrow evening. ("Okay, Brin's gone; bring the humidity back!") I'll do an extensive writeup when I actually am back on my own machine. Have a good Thursday! ---
