Merry Go Sorry Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 - 1:12 a.m. There's an archaic term that was in use about four or five hundred years ago called 'Merry-Go-Sorry', and it was a form of entertainment by the troubadors, in which they related a story or a song that had both good news and bad news. Tuesday was a day of good news and bad news. Gerald Ford, the 38th president of the United States, died. He was 93. And Saddam Hussein's appeal was completed and his death sentence still stands. He'll be hanged until dead sometime before January 27, 2007. So, there you go. The best and the worst, and I guess depending on where your politics lie, you get to decide which is which. --- Getting ready for my next trip. About a month ago, I found somebody selling empty amenity bottles on eBay by batches of twenty-five. Travel sizes are about twice or three times the size that I need them for the actual journey, with the rest of my goopy stuff in the checked luggage. So as for size? These little guys are PERFECT. I think the next purchase along these lines is going to be those little round five gram sample size jars. --- When I wrote this blog, it was just after one in the morning, and I had TV Land on to watch Star Trek. The episode was 'A Private Little War', which I think ties with 'The Apple' for worst use of wigs. Unless of course you count the early episodes of Walter Koenig, bless his heart. --- I think that's it. Have a good Wednesday! ---
