Happy 2007 Monday, Jan. 01, 2007 - 11:49 a.m. The New Year's Eve party at Cero's was actually very nice -- and very loud -- but I managed to get John on the phone at the two minute mark in case there were a network jam. There wasn't. :-) So, by the miracle of modern technology, I was able to kiss my husband at midnight. --- Lots of people I spoke to had heard the rumor of Cero's being closed or sold or something, but I am just as much in the dark as they are. I was also pleasantly surprised at the number of people who actually knew me by name. It was a nice way to ring in the new year, and the thought of Cero's going away anytime soon is kind of sad. --- Earlier in the afternoon, thanks to a trip through the fast food window by Dave on his way home from work, I fell in love with a foodstuff called Boneless Barbecue Chicken Wings, from Colonel Bucket. These are hot, sweet, semi-crunchy, and their sauce sticks to every surface known to man. --- Not much else to report. Hope you all had a good last night, and an even better today. When I get home, I'll do some end-of-year stuff, but until then... Happy new year. ---
