Bad Money Day Saturday, Feb. 03, 2007 - 8:32 a.m. Old Buddy Dave didn't mention it yesterday, but his birthday is today. He is this many (holds up forty-one fingers). Happy birthday, Old Buddy. --- You know the term Bad Hair Day? The McLaughlin household had a Bad Money Day yesterday. It's a long and extremely stupid story starring me using the ATM card instead of the credit card like I was supposed to and having all of my walking around money disappear to the tune of leaving me about five hundred dollars in the red. I will spare you the details, but the short form is that John and Dave played Three-Card Monty with some funds, and I'm solvent again as of Monday morning. I guess that means the TSA will let me back on the plane again, since I'm not going to be a bank robber after all. --- A very nice evening at Cero's last night. Patti and I sent pictures to each other on our cell phones even though I could have leaned over and laid my head in her lap because she was sitting on the bar stool next to my chair, and Dave's voice has returned from the depths of that weird cold. --- Dave's potential future roommate is heading over on Sunday during or immediately after the Super Bowl, so it should be a nice evening. I really hope this works out, as the new guy isn't really on a time frame, so the NewlyNesters don't have to hurry out of here. I don't use the term 'godsend' too often, but I do believe that's actually what the new roomie might turn out to be. Anyway, there ya go. Take care and have a good weekend. ---
