Under Construction

Friday, Mar. 16, 2007 - 8:35 a.m.

John had to get up early and go to an early meeting and so on and so forth, but he needed me to wake up and write him a note to stick in the lunch bag.

I've been writing a note to John for his lunch bag for something like six years now.

There was one point (during the Fake Andy problem) that I was unsure of him appreciating them; FA had me convinced that John could not have cared less about me writing a note to him...

Then Fake Andy made enough mistakes that I figured out he'd lied to me about everything, and I came back to Planet Earth.

And that's when John showed me a great big ziploc bag that had contained every single note I'd written.

He still keeps them today.

Diaryland is still telling me that "This Page Is Under Construction" courtesy of Network Solutions.

Apparently what happens is that when the domain name expires, the registrar automatically sends out forwarding bots. My web browser (Firefox) and my server (America Online) have not figured out that Diaryland is back yet, and it's annoying to get the Net Sol popup even though Diaryland is fine, and paid up, and etc.

Oh well. Nothing to do but wait.

Old Buddy Dave did okay at the dentist yesterday.

---

I still have the grot; I'm coming up on thirteen days with this yuckiness. My voice is still about halfway gone, and I cough at night, which means I have to sit up so I don't bother John.

I haven't been sick in a while; I've forgotten how to take care of myself.

Minnesota approved a measure that will make it a misdemeanor to sell American flags in its state that are not manufactured in the USA.

Opponents argue that the proposal is in direct contrast with everything the flag stands for.

I can't find a Friday Five that interests me, so I shall skip it for today.

Have a good weekend, and remember to wear green tomorrow!
