April Fools' Day 2007 Sunday, Apr. 01, 2007 - 3:21 a.m. Yesterday when we were out and about, we had a celebrity sighting. Look who is in the San Francisco Bay Area for part of his Spring Break! For obvious reasons, Godzilla's arrival was unannounced, but the word on the street is that he's going to spend a few days here before heading south to warmer waters. There is no word on what his Easter plans are, but the gossip is that he was spotted trying to unscrew the finial off of the top of the big flagpole in the Castro as a souvenir. City officials have had no comment on Godzilla's visit, and we hope our favorite monster enjoys his stay. --- And now, three April Fool's statements, two of which are true: George Washington was one of the people who invented instant coffee. Unfortunately, it was so full of caffeine, it had a psychoactive effect on its drinkers. Rush Limbaugh was once an ambassador to India. Spaghetti grows on trees. --- Okay, there you go. Happy April Fool's Day! ---
