Don Imus has grounds for filing a termination of employment lawsuit.

He should call Steve Pagones and ask if he's too busy to take the case.

---

The survivors of yesterday's Va Tech massacre have grounds for a lawsuit, too.

It took two hours between the dorm shootings and the campus shutdown; this enabled the gunman to cross the campus and shoot the students in the building.

Watch for one of two things to happen: There'll be a myriad of wrongful death lawsuits being filed, but even that isn't going to be happening for many months. What's more likely to happen is that the companies who insure the campus and its personnel will negotiate for a flat payout per death.

Ewww.

---

Hey, sports fans!

I just thought of something else, too. Dig THIS.

CBS and NBC are both still active and beyond-a-doubt hypocrites when it comes to prejudice and broadcasting.

CBS broadcast the Masters golf tournament for many years before African Americans were allowed on the Augusta course, and which club STILL does not admit women.

NBC, the parent company of MSNBC, is going to be broadcasting the 2008 Summer Olympics from Beijing. The same Beijing that suppressed the Tianmen Square protests in 1989 with violence, imprisonment, and death.

If those networks are going to take a stance against prejudice displayed by Don Imus, and be hereinafter intolerant of any form of suppression of the human spirit, then I think they are being hypocritical to put those two sports events on the air.

UNLESS of course, (as John postulated to me last night before dinner) they're both willing to show those events from here on out WITHOUT ADVERTISING.

Heh. Fuckwit network backstabbers. Think they'll do it?... NAHHHHH.

Money talks, hypocrisy walks.
