Thursday Surprise Friday, May. 18, 2007 - 12:20 a.m. On Thursday night, I had a chance to work with Old Buddy Dave in Bob Chance's studio. I'd never actually sung with OBDave before on any of Bob's projects. --- There was a heck of a huge surprise at the end of the session, when Bob gave me the acoustic Fender guitar I'd been picking up and noodling with between segments. All I have to do now is figure out how to get it to San Francisco without having it be smashed into kindling. I probably know more than a few people who make the commute between SF and LA with some frequency; I'll put out some feelers and see what I can find out. Until then, it's on loan to Bob from the collection of Me. --- The Friday Five is rarely posted this early, so I'll do it tomorrow if there's time. Have a good Friday, kids. ---
