Monday, Jun. 25, 2007 - 10:33 a.m.

Last night at Disneyland, the fireworks were spectacular as usual, and I think the castle would have been lovely too, except we were stuck in a part of the crowd where the only good pictures I seemed to be able to take of the display kept including the back of some kid's head:

The rest of the evening was just fine; the lines were non-existent at the four rides we usually do, so we went ahead and enjoyed Pirates of the Carribean, The Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, and Star Tours.

When the park finally closed for the day, we avoided most of the exodus by having a seat and enjoying a snack that consisted of a Mickey-shaped soft pretzel and some dipping cheese:

Eventually, we got out of the park and made our way back to Dave's place, where I logged on and had a chance to speak with John about some web work I'm doing for him and his friend Randy, and then I finally went to sleep around three.

---

This morning, we had a visitor on Dave's back steps:

The downstairs neighbor's dog has figured out how to jimmy the ancient lock that is on the gate to the yard, and now climbs the back steps to where he can lie down on the cool wood of the back deck. Just a couple of days ago, he helped himself to a breakfast buffet consisting of the contents of the trash cans along the inside of the back fence -- but he was extremely quiet for the rest of the day, and I think he ate something that disagreed with him.

Nobody in the apartment building seems to be too worried as to what the dog is up to, as long as it causes no excessive damage, stays friendly and non-biting, and shuts the fuck up.

It's basically a very good dog with too much time on its paws.

---

So there's a typical day here.

I never did do the Friday Five, because I wasn't inspired.

Heading home in a couple more days, so I'll probably do next week's.

---

There you go. Have a good Monday.
