Filibuster & Bears!

Wednesday, Jul. 18, 2007 - 1:48 a.m.

I watched a little bit of the filibuster / all-night session on C-Span 2.

Wow, Hillary sure doesn't handle late nights very well.

I can't believe it's only a few more days until we confirm the fates of the characters in the final Harry Potter adventure.

J. K. Rowling is to be commended for writing material that has encouraged so many people to pick up their first book in years, or that has thrilled children enought that other reading materials strike them as interesting, too.

Believe it or not, I know somebody who decided to wait until all the books were released before reading the first one. My theory is that the person in question has a mild to moderate case of OCD, which is okay, because I think all of us have a little of that now and then.

On the off-chance you didn't read any of the other books in the series... here's a primer, over on the BBC news site.

---

I have a tendency to get curious about celebrities I haven't seen around in awhile.

And then I start Googling, to see if I can find what's happened to them.

Wait until you see who is now doing some mighty fine Chainsaw Art!

I'm head over heels in love with her Bears!

It takes genuine talent to make former tree trunks look cuddly.

Okay, there you go. Have a nice Wednesday.
