John and I spent Tuesday and Wednesday evenings watching Kill Bill; I'd forgotten how much fun it was since first seeing it at OBDave's.

Hubby enjoyed it just as much as I did.

No, she's wrong. My mother was from the south, as were her parents. So I know it's not a Southern thing.

One of my favorite media people, Roger Ebert, is returning to The Toronto International Film Festival this year, after a too-close-for-comfort adventure with cancer.

He still has a breathing tube, but expects to receive surgery to close the hole in his throat so he can resume using his speaking voice.

I hope he has a good time and sees a lot of old friends there.
