Writer's Strike Tuesday, Nov. 06, 2007 - 12:27 a.m. Have you guys been reading about the writer's strike and what the issues are? Mark Evanier, who is the chief proponet of National Gorilla Suit Day, is a writer who is out on strike, except for what he is writing in his blog. It's a pretty comprehensive accounting of what's really going on between the writers and the people the writers deserve more money from. Here's a link to his blog, and also it's a permanent fixture over in my left column. --- Our lovely fog came back and made our nose hairs ice up last night. Hooray for electric blankies! --- The Tuesday Twosome was interesting this week: Yeah, there's five of them, but I didn't write em. Be the person next door or the fantasy person that appears unattainable? (explain) I'm happy the way I am. Lie to maintain a goody-goody rep or not care what people thought about you? (explain) As soon as I quit giving a shit what people thought of me, life got good. Go back in time to undo your mistakes or deal with the mistakes and learn from it? (explain) Well, duh, since one is impossible, then I guess learning and growing is the only option. Be friends with people that make you look good or people that make you appear to have an edge? (explain) What the fuck kind of question is that? I've never done either of those. Either you like me or you don't. Stay friends with a person that betrays you or break it off and not give her/him another chance? (explain) I believe everybody deserves a Get Out Of Jail Free card. However, if an apology is proffered and the exact same shit happens AGAIN, then get out of my life and stay out. Memes list is to the left somewhere. --- All right, that's it. Oh, one more thing. Send some good vibes to Old Buddy Dave. He's gonna make a wonderful offer to a certain guy and gal, and he wants all of the positive energy you can spare. You will probably be able to read some sort of update in his blog by early Tuesday afternoon. --- Okay, I'm done now. ---
