We had rain over the weekend. Nice, air-clearing rain -- which of course induced us to do as little as possible.

John functioned when he had to, thank goodness, and I kind of gave up on actually accomplishing much past preparing our meals.

It was a legendarily lazy Sunday.

Last night, I saw a rerun of an episode of Larry King Live on CNN, and the guest was Danielle Steel.

The overlay spelled her last name as 'Steele', which is completely incorrect. It's STEEL like the metal.

More fallout from the boat collision and oil spill...

Early reports indicate that there is no evidence of mechanical abnormality.

We're also finding that there have been several investigations regarding the bar pilot.

Meanwhile, while we're all beating our chests and wailing with sorrow about the dozens of birds that have been affected by a spill of 58,000 gallons of fuel oil, over in the Black Sea, a Russian tanker has been damaged in a storm and lost four thousand TONS of fuel oil.

That's significantly more than what happened in the waters of the San Francisco Bay.

As far as environmental disasters go, our spill ain't a hill of beans.

But there's still a bunch of questions that deserve to be answered.

Shamelessly lifted from FARK -- speaking of unanswered questions -- where's the money gone from the Jena 6 funds?

Here's a fellow who raises some important points. And over here, we have the Snopes link.

Anyway, there you go. Have a nice Monday.
