All Better Now Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 - 11:46 a.m. John managed to get back to work today, after a mini-break in which he didn't have to attend to a coughing, crabby, sick wife. It's a good thing he had the time to recharge properly because when he got to work, the contents of his inbox tipped over and destroyed his favorite chair. Or something. --- Ed and Annie's wedding turned out beautifully yesterday. Old Buddy Dave spent six entire hours in a dress shirt, a necktie, black trousers, and formal shoes. Don't worry, he's all better now. The weather is milder today; we are expecting some rain with our sunshine, but it's windy, so instead of trying to head out for a meal, the decision has been made to shelter in place. My mom was always severely affected by the wind if it blew from the north, but I can't stand high wind from any direction at all. --- Followup to an earlier post -- At the wedding reception, I only heard one person say "It's really coming down" regarding the rainstorms. Obviously that's not the biggest disaster in the world, but I just wanted to let you know how tally ended up. --- Not a long post today; OBDave and I are still much in the mind of recuperating from yesterday's event, so taking it easy is the first order of business here. --- And oh, by the way -- here's Dave's writeup of yesterday. --- Have a good Monday. ---
