Two Cat Stories Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 - 12:41 a.m. Yesterday there was a little excitement at dinner time on the ol' kitchen floor -- Solange killed a spider! Her back arched, and her tail boogered up, but she pounced and got it anyway. And for what it's worth, she's not given me any more grief about sleep space. --- The weather has moderated enough that the front door can be opened for a few hours in the middle of the day. It's also nice enough right about then to take a shower without having to dash around and immediately cover up without fear of frostbite. Apparently those two things converged in such a way yesterday that I missed when one of the goddamned feral cats managed to back his teabag up and shoot some piss through the security screen door. The rug now smells like a fascinating combination of Febreeze and Eau de Gato Del Barrio. It smacked poor Dave across the face when he got home around half past midnight, and he said it smelled sort of like rotting fruit. I swear, those cats... Go Go Gadget -- Poultry Shears! --- I suppose two different cat stories make for a short post at the end of a pleasant day, but hell, there's worse things that could be happening, right? Have a good Wednesday! ---
