Friday Five & Four Pounds

Friday, Feb. 08, 2008 - 12:41 a.m.

I'm back in San Francisco; the night flight was lovely, but a little non-descript, because once the plane was about fifty miles north of the airport, the fog rolled in.

My suitcase gained four pounds, and I probably gained about the same amount.

---

Ooh, a Friday Five I feel like answering!...

Just kidding, they're all pretty good in the long run, but I mean I'm immediately identifying with the questions.

Do you consider yourself to be a good housekeeper? Why or why not?
No. If you can walk into the kitchen without the floor pulling your socks off, it's a good day.

Are there any household chores that you enjoy doing? If so, what and why?
Ironing a shirt, because you see an immediate and pleasant result.

Which household chore frustrates/angers you the most?
Trying to keep up with the mildew. It's impossible.

When doing household chores, what do you do to make them seem less of a "chore"?
I put on music, and I set the timer for fifteen minute increments. Fifteen on, fifteen off.

Which chore do you find yourself doing most often, and why?
I make John's lunch because he wants something healthy and affordable.

Link is to the left.

Yes, I watched DOOL. Yes, I bawled like a baby.

There was a dying mother, and those always get me since my own mother died of breast cancer in 1995.

It was a magnificent episode and now I get to freaking sit down and re-do the Brady family tree yet again.

I think somebody's ended up as their own half-step-uncle or something. I'll have to look.

---

Okay, that's it. I'll be unpacking over the weekend.

Have a good Friday!
