Diaryland Win & South Park Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2008 - 12:29 a.m. I ordered a political t shirt for the first time ever in my life. And I'm looking forward to wearing it. --- Dinner has been spectacular since the weekend. As a change of pace from the really excellent chili that John made, we had potstickers on a bed of rice. I've finally learned to cook them restaurant style, with a wrinkly top and a fried bottom. And yes, that's a straight line, so have fun with it. --- Wow, Diaryland is all reconfoogled yet again, there are new layout components, but the bleak dark truck tire black and orange is hopefully a thing of the past. Andrew wants your feedback, please. --- Speaking of same, I spoke for a little bit last night in IMs with Andrew himself, and there's some pretty cool options in store for Diaryland. He's been a real good guy to actually respond to what the consumers have asked for, and there's more improvements to come. I requested two things. 1. I wondered if there were a way to change user preferences to the color scheme they want for the splash page and 2. I wanted him to keep the current banner system and add the newer system to it, so we could keep using our older existing banners or try our hand at something new. He didn't say no to either of these. So, we'll see! And yeah, I did apologize to him because I did get snotty with him a little bit in the emails I sent, but at least I deleted the draft of an email that I was gonna send that contained the line "What are you gonna do next? Trailing cursors and falling snowflakes?" Knock on Formica, he seems on top of things. --- My old fashioned 'still on paper' newsletter contribution went out in yesterday's mail, thanks to John, who took it to work and copied it for me. Sometimes if I'm doing color, I'll run it off here at home in the printer, but since this one was black and white, he did the honors. Thanks, hon! --- John also says that work is still quietly jubilant re Mister Spitzer. Nobody on earth would be upset about this. --- Okay, that's it. OH I almost FORGOT NEW SOUTH PARK TONIGHT ! ! ! ! ! --- Have a good Wednesday. ---
