Good Intentions & Amnesia

Tuesday, Mar. 18, 2008 - 12:28 a.m.

Well, so much for good intentions.

We got out our Irish-themed DVDs, and after only two, the DVD player got drunk, became surly, and cursed at us in Gaelic every time we touched the remote.

Actually, not really.

I fell asleep in the late afternoon and a little nap turned into a six hour hibernation and I slightly ruined our plans.

Ahem.

So, we'll do more of our Irish film festival tonight and Wednesday and Thursday and kind of spread it out.

David Paterson was sworn in as the new governor of New York.

It was a good day. A very good day.

---

I see over on the Days Of Our Lives fan forums that Mickey Horton is returning! The original actor, John Clarke, will not be back because of failing health. For awhile, Mickey was played by John Ingle, but he finished his run as Mickey in 2006.

The new Mickey Horton will be played by none other than Kevin Dobson!

I've been watching this guy on and off for like, thirty years on this show and that, so I'm pleased with the choice.

---

Hillary Clinton continues to reinvent her foreign service history.

I also explicitly recall her bouts of amnesia every time she put her left hand on a Bible in a court of law.

---

Okay, that's it. Have a good Tuesday.
