First, I wish all of you who observe it a blessed Good Friday.

Second, I saw my landlord on television last night on a local channel, speaking to the SF board of supervisors who are falling all over themselves to make nice sparkly declarations having to do with the fact that the Olympic torch is going to be in San Francisco. My landlord vehemently opposes the the declarations and said it's against the spirit of the Olympics to surround it with political trimmings and trappings.

He's right, and I'm actually feeling very nice about having seen him make a stand.

Okay. National politics ahead. Skip it if you're tired of my POV.

I watched Barack Obama last night on Larry King, just as the controversy over Mr. Obama's passport info infiltration was being reported. He really impressed me, even though Larry King throw softballs. It turns out that Obama has been there, and John McCain has been there, but Hillary Clinton has not.

Speaking of the former First Lady -- Been noticing something about her constituency, and thought I would share.

Here's who is going to vote for Hillary. There are two significant groups:

1. First, there's the group I call The Vagina Vote. These are the hairy-legged militant feminists who reek of patchouli and/or weed, and who are going to vote for Hillary no matter what, simply because she's a member of the historically-oppresed female tribe, and by golly the witches and bitches have to stick together come Hades or high water. I've NEVER elected anybody just because they have happened to be female. That's an insulting reason for voting for any woman, and if that woman is worth her salt, she'll never rely on her sex to get into office -- instead, all I see on Hillary's web site is how important it is to vote for her so that history can be made.

And while I've got your attention -- I'm going on the record here and now as saying that sexism is just as bad as racism, which is why you will never write me down as a militant feminist, who are the most sexually biased, hateful, and downright hypocritical group of people I have ever encountered in my life. (guys, hold the door open for one of these cunts and watch; they ALWAYS walk through and never say thank you).

Mind you, I'm not saying I don't enjoy being a female. I do. And women, I'm not saying it's wrong to correct the inequalities that still exist.

But you will NEVER catch me voting with my vagina.

2. Then there's the group I call the Entitlement Vote. These are the people who didn't bother getting their shit together until late in life and are, for largely reasons of their own choosing, uninsurable for less than a thousand dollars a month. These folks are willing to overlook Hillary's resume padding and bouts of amnesia she seemed to experience whenever her left hand was resting on a Bible and the unpleasantries of socialized medicine, solely so they can have health coverage. Never mind that they have never bothered to do their part, like, stop smoking, stop making too many babies, stop eating poorly, and so forth.

This nation was founded on accountability and self reliance.

Right now, we have an electorate that is willing to forget that completely when it comes to getting into office.

Call me cruel and horrible, but I'm not going to pay for the poor choices of others, either healthwise or educationwise.

I refuse to be made to do this without my consent, and Hillary has mentioned some wonderful little things called 'enforcement procedures' that this household NOT going to tolerate. Excuse me? What the fuck? This is the United States of America, not a socialized country. In fact, the most militantly socialist person I know, somebody who just got a red star tattooed on his forearm so there'd be no doubt as to his affiliations -- has decided against voting for Hillary.

Ethically and morally, I have no choice but to vote for the alternative -- Barack Obama.

Yes, he's certainly got his own set of baggage, as do all the candidates. But so far, I've been impressed by the complete absence of black slashes across his disclosed personal information, and I've also been impressed with his world view, and his willingness to nip controversy in the bud.

Anyway, them's my two cents.

---

All right. Have a good Friday, and I'll do Friday Five tomorrow or later.

If you won't be back before the weekend is over -- have a really nice Easter.
