Torch & Splat Monday, Mar. 31, 2008 - 12:31 a.m. The Olympic torch was welcomed to Tianmen Square on Monday, local time. This confluence makes me throw up in my mouth a little. --- John and I did indeed become iPod people, and Old Buddy Dave served as a catalyst. OBD just purchased one and was telling me about it in chat, and I was relaying his info to John and John suddenly said we could get ourselves each one, too! Yayyy! So, tahdah! --- I was watching I Love Lucy over the weekend, and I happened to see the Hollywood episode where she encounters William Holden at the Brown Derby. I've seen that episode probably a dozen times in my life, and every single time I catch a new bit of business. This time I noticed the dimension and shape of the great big splat that Holden took when Lucy collided with the waiter, and I wondered how many takes it took to get that perfect shot. Is there any more superb television like that out here on any of the free broadcast channels? Sigh. --- Okay, not a long post. Have a good Monday, and happy last day of March. ---
