Cool, Uncool, Coolest Saturday, Apr. 05, 2008 - 12:31 p.m. Friday was my first full day here visiting Chez Too Old; the evaporative cooler we got for Old Buddy Dave and Roomie Jim will be a pleasure to have around. So far, though, we've been blessed with mild temperatures and slightly overcast skies. It gets warm inside in the late afternoon, but now I'm all set for that. --- The evening at Cero's was great, except that Richard Janes still hasn't been there in a very long time. But I finally got to the bottom of things -- he's not sick, he's become a Born Again Christian. His lifestyle has changed in such a profound way that he's decided there's other things he needs to be doing. Which is fine with me, as long as there's SOME sort of process for a believer to establish a path. All I can do is wish him well. But I'll say this and be done with it, as far as Richard's choices are concerned, because they are HIS choices. Cero's in Anaheim, when the Bob Chance Band is playing, is one of the most spiritual places I have ever been, and if reasons for staying away include religion, then allow me to quote FARK -- you're doing it wrong. --- Wow. I didn't understand the big deal about iPods until I finally got a Shuffle. I'm blown away. What a nifty little doodad! --- Sorry not a long post. Have a really nice Saturday! ---
