Tax Day 2008 Tuesday, Apr. 15, 2008 - 12:25 a.m. John made it to his chiropractor on Monday night and got his back and hips worked on; being able to see him and Scott in the same room was absolutely worth it to me, and the guys claim to have enjoyed themselves, but I could tell my beleagured husband had been socked pretty badly by the heat and the drive, and other than when he was consuming a friendly amount of the scotch he was offered upon arrival, John was happiest when he was laying down in our room and I was rubbing his back. The above was one long sentence -- which, depending on who is asked, can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. --- The temperature has moderated here in Anaheim; it didn't go too much past eighty degrees in the early afternoon, and now in the wee hours of Tuesday, when so many of the citizens of this fair land are up late doing their taxes, it's nice and cool. I remember one time John and I let the taxes go all the way down to the very screamingly ridiculous last red hot minute and drove to the main post office at around half past eleven pm to get our forms mailed, and what a sight there was to see -- somebody in a giant coffee can costume was dancing around in the parking lot near the temporary drop stations, along with a giant aspirin bottle. --- Okay, sorry not a great big post. I just went through the place and turned off the fans. Have a good Tuesday and I hope you have your taxes done! ---
