Myriad Monday, May. 19, 2008 - 12:10 a.m. The weather stayed mild all through Sunday, and I'm very grateful for our natual air conditioning. --- Had an unpleasant experience while shopping online; eBay is nice, but never ever again will I buy something I Seen On TV. (sic). When I tried to finish my purchase and get the hell away and gone from the site, I was sent through SEVEN upsells before I got to the final checkout screen. Never again. --- Yesterday was Interesting in the May You Live In Interesting Times kind of way, for a myriad of reasons, the only one of which I can share with you here is that Old Buddy Dave's roommate Jim is moving out. This kind of came as a surprise, but sometimes good situations have to run their course. Jim was neat and funny and quiet and intelligent and damn. Damn. --- George Takei and his long time partner Brad Altman are getting married. Love and congratulations to them both. --- The 97th Bay To Breakers was yesterday. The winners included two Kenyans and that girl who accepted the marriage proposal on live TV. --- Not much else to write about, friends. If you know a fannish person in the Anaheim area who can share a bathroom and tolerate a cat, get in touch with OBDave! Have a good Monday. ---
