Wind & Fog

Friday, Jul. 18, 2008 - 12:03 a.m.

It's windy. And foggy. And other days, it's foggy and windy.

But recently, there's been fog and wind.

Day and night, night and day. Wind and fog.

Spam, Spam, Spam, Wind, Fog, and Spam.

---

I don't think I've officially gone crazy regarding this weather, at least not any crazier than I usually appear to be, but I can really feel the effects of the decreased sunshine.

When I tried to tell my troubles to John, he told me well, no, he never sees sunshine either, because he's in the office all day!

Then I asked him if there was a sunshine-proof tube leading from his bus stop to his place of work and he said oh, um, well actually he does see sunshine at the beginning and end of his day, after all.

Between his trips to and from the lifeforce- and nutrient-sucking office building where he works -- with the option of looking out his very own window, thank you -- my husband's getting fifteen more minutes of sunshine per day than I've gotten out here in the entire week.

I guess it's a matter of perspective.

---

I'm supposed to have lunch with Omaha Dave out here in my beautifully bleak neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.

Bring your coat, pal. Oh, and have some fog. It'll fuck your glasses up real nice.

And wind, too, while you're at it, in case you have a combover now.

It will be big fun! And wait till you see what the wind and the fog does to my hair.

You'll just love sitting across from me at the sammy place.

---

Grunch, grunch, grunch. I'll shut up now.

Have a good Friday.
