Moby Ocean Cake Wednesday, Jul. 23, 2008 - 7:41 a.m. Found over on Fark: Excellent advice from Moby. --- Here's a little unfinished business from Sunday I took a picture of Ocean Beach and Great Highway from my phone. It was taken from the bottom level of the overlook of Sutro Heights Park: There's finally a little bit of blue sky out here. --- Hey, remember when I mentioned the five minute chocolate cake in the coffee cup recipe that I found on Fark? I didn't believe it. But, I tried it last night while I was waiting for dinner to finish simmering -- and it worked! I had already snarfed half of it before I remembered to take a picture, again, with the camera in the phone, because it was handy: Next time I think I'll add walnuts or something slightly savory along those lines, or maybe some cream cheese and powdered sugar frosting. Unlike the link above, which directs you to images of somebody neatly stirring the entire thing in a coffee cup, I recommend doing the blending in a separate, bigger bowl of some sort, and then pouring the mix into the cup. It rose to a frightening height but then simmered back down and came out really nicely. So don't open the door and check on it when it's nuking, or it will fall and be yuckity. --- Okay, there ya go. Have an excellent Wednesday. ---
