Stardust Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 - 12:21 a.m. Yesterday at the Olympics, all of the gymnasts I saw, both American and Chinese, looked and performed as if they had each spent the previous ten minutes in a whirling clothes dryer. Then again it's just the preliminaries. I hope everybody improves. Meanwhile, the men's 4 x 100 swim turned out just the way it should have, with the American team claming a victory margin of eight one-hundredths of a second over the French team. And all of this after the French team talked shit about them, saying they'd be crushed. Au contraire, les grenouilles! Le har de har har! --- According to the Hugo Awards website, the movie "Stardust" was a winner! It's one of my new favorites of late, even though I get overheated when I watch it, because the first time I saw it, I was in Sacramento in April, when the temperature outside was right around one hundred degrees. Anyway, yay! --- Okay, there you go. Have a good Monday! ---
